Air-Dry Clay Marionette

It has been a little while since I have updated you on the happenings at school in my high school art class. The "Selfie" project is coming to an end, I have a bit more watercolor painting to do on my own. The students are doing an outstanding job on theirs. I cannot promise they will let me share their artwork here on my blog. Trust me though, they are very artistic students!

Our next project comes from Dick Blick as well and is called "Doodle Dancer." This project uses air-dry clay to sculpt a marionette. We will then use pens to draw "tattoos" and color on the marionette. Here are some of the steps in creating the marionette figure:
